The anticipated season dates for this seasonal, full-time position are from approximately May 1st through October 15th (5.5 months) each year. The anticipated work schedule is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The position will work out of the Lanesboro Area 3C Parks & Trails office. This position exists to perform routine labor, operating both hand and power tools, requiring strenuous physical work outdoors to operate and maintain public water accesses and trails facilities in Area 3C.
Qualifications
## Minimum Qualifications:
* Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work.
* Ability to work within safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
* Capacity to follow both oral and written instructions.
* Ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers orally.
* Capability to work as a team member and cooperate with co-workers.
* Capability to react to situations safely and responsibly.
* Ability to operate safely and efficiently hand and power tools.
* Ability to perform routine and standard service to small engines, vehicles, and equipment in shop and field settings.
* Working knowledge of communications equipment like cellular phones and 2-way radios is desirable.
* Certification (or the ability to become certified) in CPR and First Aid.
## Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior work history with MN DNR
* Current CPR/first aid certification
* Training and/or experience in equipment operation and maintenance, construction methods, and landscape management and materials
* Current CDL/Class A License. Will require passing a pre-employment drug screen and participation in the DNR's ongoing random testing program.
## Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally lifting articles such as 50 pounds maximum and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as heavy tools and file boxes. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
## Additional Requirements
This position requires successful completion of the following:
*This position requires an unrestricted Class D Driver's License with a clear driving record*
