2393BRDepartment:ADMITTING Position Overview:The Patient Access I Representative provides assistance to patients in-person and over the telephone to ensure high quality patient care and registration services, greets and acknowledges patients immediately, screens and updates established patient demographic information for accuracy, establishes new accounts as needed, collects co-payments at time of service, and schedules appointments. Depending on the specific site, may also be responsible for providing Medical Records services. Nonessential skills and experience: Post-secondary education in a related field. Knowledge of medical terminology. Insurance verification, cash handling and/or scheduling experience helpful.
